While the first week of the waiver wire is the most important of the year, a lot of great players remain on the wire and spill over into the coming weeks. In a Week 3 where we saw a lot of studs underperform, we also saw a lot of amazing games from less-rostered players. While not all of them will be solid fantasy football contributors for the entire season, there are certainly a number of interesting players that still remain on the waiver wire in Week 4.
Not all these players may be available, but the general guideline I followed was under 60% rostered within normal Sleeper leagues. This should give you more than enough viable options to add to your squad and hopefully contribute in weeks to come.

Trevor Lawrence – QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (50% rostered)
Lawrence has gotten better in every game this year, and produced 3 throwing touchdowns and no interceptions against the Chargers in Week 3. With room to improve as a second-year quarterback with endless potential, grab Lawrence if you have QB questions.
Khalil Herbert – RB, Chicago Bears (47% rostered)
David Montgomery was forced out of the game after just 3 carries against the Texans, and Herbert made the most of the opportunity by getting 169 all-purpose yards and 2 touchdowns. We had already seen Herbert averaging 8 opportunities per game with Montgomery in, and even if he returns quickly Khalil should have secured himself more looks.
Jamaal Williams – RB, Detroit Lions (60% rostered)
With D’Andre Swift playing in a limited role again this week, Williams put up 107 all-purpose yards and 2 touchdowns. Similar to Herbert, regardless of if the lead back plays or not, Williams will receive enough touches to be a flex/bye week fill-in and worth rostering wherever available.
Alexander Mattison – RB, Minnesota Vikings (64% rostered)
It seems like there’s a theme to the waiver wire RBs this week – highly skilled handcuffs seeing opportunities. Unlike the previous two players, however, we know Mattison won’t get a share of carries on a weekly basis and is much more dependent on a Dalvin Cook injury. If Cook misses time, Mattison is instantly in RB2 range at a minimum.
Tyler Conklin – TE, New York Jets (30% rostered)
Here’s a fact you didn’t expect – Conklin has 24 targets through the first two weeks. With those targets, he’s gotten 18 catches for 140 yards and 1 touchdown. He has been a safety blanket for Joe Flacco and has secured the top Tight End position on a Jets offense that looks surprisingly effective in 2022.
Greg Dortch – WR, Arizona Cardinals (34% rostered)
While there are only a few more weeks until DeAndre Hopkins returns, Dortch has been incredibly impressive and a reliable fantasy option for the young season, showing great chemistry with Kyler Murray. Especially if you need a flex play due to an injury, Dortch is a great option for the next few weeks.
Romeo Doubs – WR, Green Bay Packers (40% rostered)
Doubs was a preseason standout for a Packer’s receiver corps that needed help, but his opportunities in the first 2 weeks were limited. With Watkins on IR and Christian Watson out, Doubs caught all 8 of his targets for 73 yards and a touchdown. He has proven to Aaron Rodgers he can produce early in his career, and should continue to see opportunities with Watkins out.
Zay Jones – WR, Jacksonville Jaguars (14% rostered)
3 weeks in a row with Zay Jones on our waiver wire list, and his roster percentage is still way too low. He’s averaged just under 9 targets per game in a Jags offense that seems to be incredibly effective this year, and I’ll continue to pick up Jones wherever available.
